Description

Dymax Sun Ray Tanning Lamp projects ultra violet light that is used to evoke the melanin production of melanocyte cells on the scales. Unlike many other tanning lamps in the market that claim to be the best (especially the LED) a correct tanning lamp is the lamp bulb used that emits UV light. This UV ight is created inside the lamp. If this is constructed correctly it takes only a few minutes under an effective tanning lamp to create the same effect as an hour under the sun. The REX Sun Ray Tanning Lamp is constructed to emit a certain percentage of ultraviolet rays to tan the fish body. This ultraviolet content mimics the sun’s ultraviolet light causing the fish body to tan (increase in colour) and to produce vitamin D under indoor conditions. Most people choose to replace lamp after around the 500 hours mark. If the bulbs are kept longer then the amount of tanning time should increase in order to compensate the loss of intensity. Its always recommended to replace lamps all at once. This is so that tracking of bulb replacement period is uniform. DM596
