Dymax Glass Thermometer needs to be fully submerged in water for optimum result. Ensure the aquarium surface is free from algae. Remove protective cover and place the unit inside the aquarium. Allow unit to correspond with water temperature for a few seconds then the unit will indicate the water temperature. DM295
